If you're looking for a premium 27inch monitor display, then you can't get much better than the Dell UltraSharp 2709W, especially since it's been reduced down to £439.74 (was £592.20).
This monitor will give you 1920 X 1200 pixels, Full-HD experience and comes with an array of connections, including HDMI, two DVI (with HDCP), component, composite, VGA and the latest DisplayPort. Our favourite feature with this monitor is that it's a S-PVA monitor, which means you get great viewing angles (178 degrees) and a good 6 ms response time, although hardcore gamers may notice lag when playing games.
Features on this model include a card reader supporting CF/xD/SD/MS/MMc, plus there are two usb ports which enables the monitor to act as a hub. There are even three 3.5mm jacks to support 5.1 sound when hooked up through HDMI. The 2709W also supports Picture-in-Picture (allowing you to view two sources at the same time). Colours are vivid and contrast is at a ratio of 3000:1 producing deeper blacks and crisper text. You could get annoyed with the fiddly touch-sensitive buttons on the display and the preset colours need to be adjusted but other than these niggles this is a highly recommended purchase if you have the money.
