Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 'All-Play' (Wii) - £22.97

The Wii's remote can emulate some great sports games which Wii Sports proves. If you're into the golf game, you'll probably find the 9 hole course on Wii Sports repetitive after a while. Well, now EA sports have finally brought out a Tiger Woods PGA Tour game which makes it fun for everyone to play and challenging for the fans of the series. The game has only been out for a month and Amazon have just reduced this game to £22.97 (rrp £39.99).

The improvements of this latest outing for the Tiger Woods franchise have made everyone who is remotely interested in golf games become excited. You now get a 1:1 ratio in the game when you swing, yes that means the movement you make, is replicated in real-time on screen. Not only that, you can twist the remote on your back-swing to produce fade or draw on a shot! For the amateur players, the All-Play mode allows users to avoid the refined shot techniques and just pick up and swing, so Dad might just want a Wii for Christmas now the days are getting dark.

Expect plenty of mini games too in Tiger Woods All Play. These games don't just keep to the normal path of golf, it goes wacky. Some games you can control spin on another players ball to put them off. Another game sees you clean-up the driving range in your buggy, picking up more balls than your opponents. This certainly has plenty of replay value and is well recommended for anyone remotely interested in playing or watching golf.

Capcom Classics Collection Remix PSP game - £4.99

Capcom created some of the most addictive games in the 80s and 90s era. This Capcom Classics Collection Remix allows you to reminisce those classic games on your PSP for just £4.99 now. The 20 game compilation has good reviews and although you'll probably not enjoy every game, there will be plenty for you to get your teeth into and a bargain at this price. Our favourite game is Street Fighter which we could spend hours playing but still losing! There are incentives to continue playing these games, with unlocks, tips and concept artwork.

Multiplayer is also a great feature on this collection. You can share a game with any PSP console which has the game running. You just drop in and out of the games when you want with various co-op and two-player alternating, which replicates the arcade feeling even more so (without the need of finding more loose change to fill the machine with!).

The games include:
  • 1941
  • Avengers
  • Bionic Commando
  • Black Tiger
  • Block Block
  • Captain Commando
  • Final Fight
  • Forgotten Worlds

Sony Blu-Ray Disc Remote Control (PS3) - £15.98

Blu-ray players may be all the rage these days now that HD-DVD is a distant memory but most early followers of the Blu-ray technology probably thought it made good sense to invest in the PS3. In fact, the PS3 is now the best Blu-ray player because of it's constant online updates with new features, which standalone players can't compete with. So, if you've got a PS3 and enjoy Blu-ray, the dedicated remote controller is probably already on your list - especially since it controls more than videos. It will be good news then to tell you that Amazon are now selling the Sony Blu-Ray Disc PS3 Remote Control for just £15.98 (was £17.99).

Save yourself fiddling with the PS3 controller to navigate those menus and invest in this bluetooth controller- yes, no need to point it at your TV/media player infra-red receiver anymore! You can also use it to access your music, photos and videos, so even the gaming illiterate can quickly find the tracks to listen to or watch the special footage on their favourite Blu-ray film. A PS button (just like the controller) also allows you to access the cross media bar and turn the system on and off.

Lair PS3 game - £9.99

If you own a PS3 and are looking for cheap games, then now is the time. We've found this fantastic deal on the unique, PS3-only game called Lair, which is only £9.99 at the moment from Argos.

The game might not be for everyone's taste but definitely provides entertaining use of the Sixaxis controller's motion-sensor, so you guide your dragon like a wii-mote. You play as a warrior riding a flying dragon through various epic battles. The dragon can throw flames (obviously), claw and smash enemies as well as perform a multitude of flying stunts.

There have been complaints with the controls when this game first came out but these flaws have now been ironed out thanks to the downloadable update, making the game exciting to play. You can even use a PSP to play the game with, as Sony now have configured the PSP's analog stick to work with the game.

For £9.99, you will not be disappointed we feel. Your mates will be amazed with the controls and visuals too.

Polaroid TLU-02241WU - 22" Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV - £179.99

For those of you who are looking for a smaller TV with HD compatibility, then surely this 22" Polaroid TLU-02241WU HD Ready LCD TV is perfect for you. Amazon have reduced this TV to just £179.99 (was £249.99) and it has features you'd expect from a large TV.

With a resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels, you can get near full HD visuals and this monitor even supports 1080i as well as 720p! The TV is quick to setup and many owners have praised it's picture quality. With plenty of connections including HDMI and VGA, you can watch just about anything on it. Even if you're looking for a PC monitor, you may feel this Polaroid is better value than most dedicated 22" monitors on the market. You won't get a great sound from such a small monitor but the audio output will allow you to connect to better speakers.

If viewing angles and contrast ratios really are a concern for you when buying a TV, then you may want to look elsewhere but we think that £179.99 is a great price for a sturdy and stylish 22" TV/Monitor.
